Barbara CarrollJane has been a storyteller and comedian ever since she was born the youngest of four in an Irish Catholic family and wanted some attention. She learned comedy at the knees of the masters - her fellow students at Cardinal Spellman High School in Brockton, Mass. She learned about problem-solving at Wellesley College and that Harvard people are no smarter than the rest of us when she studied Children's Television at Harvard University's Graduate School of Education. She lives in Greenwich, CT, but she's still a nice person. She has two boys. Otherwise everything's fine. After years as a journalist (FORTUNE, LIFE), she wrote a book about Japanese women called, A Half-Step Behind, Japanese Women Today (Charles Tuttle). Returning home to the States after five years in Tokyo, she came out of the comedy closet (much to her husband's surprise) and has worked as a stand-up ever since. She writes for the Huffington Post and has appeared on ABC-TV’s “The View,” Lifetime TV’s “Girls Night Out,” as well as NBC-TV’s “Last Comic Standing.” Keep on the lookout for future performances of her new solo show, “Janie Condon: Raw and Unchained” which recently premiered at The Ensemble Studio Theatre.
