PETER GALLAGHER - President and CFO -Bio

     An Air Force veteran and Bentley College graduate, Peter began his career in the corporate world  working at W.R.Grace and then Norton Simon, Inc. in New York City.   His last corporate role was as VP of Finance for Halston, the famed designer.  After the company was purchased by Henry Kravis, the renowned business financier and investor, Peter worked in  Kravis’ new business venture, Carolyne Roehm, Inc.   Subsequently, Peter created his own business consulting firm  based in Vermont. But unable to resist the tug of New York City, he returned in 1993 to help manage Jerry Kravat Entertainment Services.  The company, run by the legendary Jerry Kravat for over twenty years, encompassed artist management, domestic and international theatrical productions, musical bands and event management for a diverse clientele of venues, corporations, non-profits and individuals.  Peter then set out on his own again and founded Park Avenue Events in 2000 focusing on managing artists and producing musical tours. In 2003, he subsequently created Park Avenue Talent, Ltd. which focuses on engaging musicians for various prestigious venues including the Carlyle, Pierre and Fairmont hotels. The creation of Park Avenue Talent, Ltd. also marked the re-teaming of Peter and Jerry Kravat to help bring Park Avenue Talent, Ltd. to the forefront of the industry.

DAVID LAI - Artistic Director and Senior Vice President -Bio

     DAVID LAI currently serves as Conductor for the Broadway company of The Phantom of the Opera.  Other Broadway credits as conductor, music coordinator and/or keyboardist include South Pacific, Mary Poppins, Miss Saigon, The Woman in White, Riverdance, Jesus Christ Superstar, Les Misérables and Aspects of Love. David has conducted many symphonies including Dallas, Fort Worth, Pacific, Taipei, Jacksonville, and the Kennedy Center Opera Orchestra. TV appearances: “The Today Show,” “GMA,” “The View,” “CBS This Morning.” MD/pianist: the Rainbow Room, Caramoor Festival, CBGB’s, the Bottom Line.  David also serves as a consultant to SonyBMG Masterworks on classical, jazz and Broadway recordings.  Record producing credits include three albums by Eldar including the Grammy nominated album, "Re-imagination", Nathan Gunn, Kristin Chenoweth, Audra McDonald, Howard McGillin, Laura Benanti and Ashley Brown.  Broadway cast albums produced include A Chorus Line (Grammy nomination), South Pacific, GreaseThe Wedding Singer, an upcoming all-star cast album of Allegro, and Spanish cast albums of The Phantom of the Opera and Jesus Christ Superstar.   BA in Engineering/Economics and Music from Brown University, MBA in Finance and Marketing from Columbia University.

IRVIN ARTHUR - Senior Vice President -Bio

     Park Avenue Talent's number one octogenarian joined the ranks of management in 2001. Prior to his induction, Irvin and his wife, Sandy, owned and operated Irvin Arthur Associates in Beverly Hills, CA. Their clients included Steve Allen, Peggy Lee, Jim Carrey, Bill Maher, Ellen DeGeneres, Mort Sahl and many of the bright young comedians on the horizon. Since joining Park Avenue Talent, Ltd., Irvin has brought clients aboard such as Loston Harris, Jane Condon, Barbara Carroll, Euan Morton, Dave Frishberg, Mort Sahl and Dick Gregory. Irvin states, "It is very exciting to not only work but to also enjoy coming to work every day and sharing the challenge of continuing and building upon the groundwork laid down by Jerry Kravat."

KIRK YANO - Director -Bio

     Kirk Yano is a multiple Grammy winning engineer with several Platinum and Gold RIAA awards. His records have sold over 80 million worldwide. In the past few years, Kirk has recorded, produced and mixed records for many artists across different genres including Common, Dwele, Mariah Carey, Public Enemy, Miles Davis, Pat Martino, Eldar, Davis Gaines, Soulive, NTM (Sony France), LaPlace (Vendi France), Pe'z (Virgin Japan), and Phoebe Snow. Kirk currently operates The "State of The Art" Recording Studio in Webster Hall. Kirk is also a guitarist and has toured with Savoy Brown, Phoebe Snow, and Alan Merrill. He is also is an engineer and road manager for legendary jazz guitarist and Blue Note artist, Pat Martino, Sony Classical and Grammy nominated jazz pianist, Eldar, and Broadway's "Phantom of the Opera", Davis Gaines.

JERRY KRAVAT -Bio

     Jerry Kravat’s legacy stretches as far back as the high society parties of the Rockefellers, Astors and Vanderbilts who hired the NYU grad and Army veteran to provide entertainment for their gala benefits and private parties.  Soon his work ethic and reputation allowed him to become entertainment director at some of the largest and most luxurious hotels such as the Waldorf-Astoria, Pierre, Plaza and Carlyle Hotels in New York, the Fairmont in San Francisco and Le Societe des Baines de Mer in Monte Carlo.

In New York, Mr. Kravat produced both cabaret and Theatre. Productions including the famed King Cole Room series, Bobby Short at the Carlyle and the Broadway success MAYOR and BARBARA COOK--A CONCERT FOR THE THEATRE and FORBIDDEN BROADWAY STRIKES BACK!  Mr. Kravat had presented seven productions at the Kennedy Center (including SOME ENCHANTED EVENING and NACHA) and toured musicals such as THE SUNSHINE BOYS starring Mickey Rooney and Donald O’Connor and ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY starring Frank Gorshin and Imogene Coca.

Active as one of the top talent managers in the business, Mr. Kravat was responsible for guiding the careers of such luminaries as Barbara Cook, Eartha Kitt, Weslia Whitfield and Joel Grey.

His legacy lives on at Park Avenue Talent…
